- It was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900s.
- Rei = Universal, Ki = Life Energy → Reiki = Universal Life Energy.
- Reiki is spiritually guided—the energy knows where to go without you directing it.
- After your attunement, Reiki flows when you place your hands with the intention to help.
